Renée Ting is an independent creative producer, artist, and the founding director of the Singapore Art Book Fair, an annual multi-day festival specialising in contemporary art books and zines.
From 2010 to 2017, she was the Manager and Creative Director of independent bookstore BooksActually, where she helmed their publishing arm, as well as some of their major projects including Singapore’s inaugural Book Vending Machine and the 24-Hour Bookstore Event.
She co-produced A Design Film Festival 2017, and has shown at various exhibitions including The Deepest Blue (2018, D/SINI), and Fantasy Island (2018, I_S_L_A_N_D_S). Her artistic practice incorporates wide-ranging influences such as contemporary art, literature, and photography. Using an array of media, her works function as introspective investigations of absence, longing, solitude, and self.
